2020 to 2021 – The Resolutions that Weren\'t?

Let\’s talk about 2020… or not. I basically dropped both of my resolutions. As it is, other than the Goodreads challenge, which I missed again, I had to pull up last year\’s post because I couldn\’t remember the other. While missing both my resolutions is slightly disappointing, this year was nuts. I made many concessions for myself. I allowed myself to treat myself a little more, and spend time doing what I wanted even if it meant I missed the challenge. Sometimes we have to allow ourselves those spaces.
Does this mean that I\’m not going to set resolutions this year? No. I\’m going to keeping giving myself the space I need, but I want to approach this year as a season to implement new habits and change routines.
I include reading as part of a challenge every year. This year I am going to start my Goodreads Challenge at 10. I\’ve read at least that much the past two years so it seems doable. I would also like to finish reading all the books that I never finished that are currently on my reading shelf. I plan on implementing this into my routine by at least reading 10 pages per day.
The next thing I\’d like to do is reintroduce a lot of healthier habits that I\’ve dropped over the years. This includes working out more, doing more yoga, and eating more fruits and vegetables. In preparation for this, I searched a lot of hidden veggie meals and want to start eating more salads with my meals.
The final thing I really want to work on this year is to kind of start minimizing the items I own. As a self-proclaimed maximalist, I have a lot of stuff that I love. In the next year or so I will be an adult and moving, and I\’d like to make it easier on myself in the long run. Also I have so many clothing items that I don\’t wear or just don\’t fit right. It might be time for me to pass them on.

That\’s all I\’ve got for you today. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday and new year – Cheers to 2021!
