A Romantic Look for a Romantic Day

Hello friends and happy Valentine\’s Day! I know there\’s so much to say about Valentine\’s Day, whether you love it or you hate it. While I acknowledge that it\’s become super commercialized (just like every holiday, really), I can\’t help but love it. While I don\’t have a Valentine, and was really off my game this year, I took special care creating my Valentine\’s Day look and I wanted to share with you a little outfit breakdown. One thing I\’m really excited about with this outfit, is that it\’s all second-hand except for the boots.
This look is brought to you by me cleaning out my closet. I have had this little red dress for years! It was from one of my earlier days of thrifting, and today was the second time I wore it, which is crazy to me. It\’s so cute, fits me so well, and has the cutest detail on the skirt. Ironically enough, the last time I wore this, I layered it with the same blouse. And while there\’s nothing wrong with exact-outfit repeating, I did dress it up differently this time.
This blouse is also something that I\’ve had for years. But unlike the dress, this is the third time I\’m wearing it. I love the lacy detailing around the collar and cuffs. I think it\’s so feminine and romantic! The detailing actually goes down the entire front of the shirt, which I love.
The boots are the only new item from this outfit. I purchased them almost two years ago on Black Friday. They are by the brand Free People and are so sassy. I love how they spice up and outfit.
My purse is new – today was my first time taking it out! And it\’s from ThredUP and is authentic Louis Vuitton. I plan on doing a post with more detail on how much this purse means to me soon!

The last little details include my earrings, the belt, and the hair clip (two of the three you can\’t see in any of the pictures). All of these were my great aunt\’s that I inherited after she passed away. She was truly a stylish woman!
Much Love,
Jacquelyn
