Christmas in Montana

Good evening, my loves! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas Day! Earlier today I decided I was going \”take the day off\” from blogging, but then I ultimately decided that I wanted to share my Christmas day outfit here in a little more depth. I guess I changed my mind because I\’ve been playing games on my mom\’s iPad for the past 2 hours.
Thats the thing about Christmas night, so many people go home after their family gatherings and just do nothing. I know in past years I\’ve cried because I was affected by the Christmas blues, but this year, I feel very content. It\’s a wonderful feeling, really. But if you don\’t feel like contentment, I hope that you one day do. That on the eve of December 26th, you can come home and think, \”Wow, today was a really good day.\” There are so many pressures to have a great holiday, hence why I once cried to my mom that I hated almost every holiday because of the sheer pressure to be the perfect, well-behaved child. It took me a while to realize that that is never the case.
On Instagram, I follow Jessica Lamb of Skip to My Luca, and on every holiday she reminds her followers on holidays, that holidays aren\’t a part of our usual schedule and that the kids may be a little crazy and that we can\’t control that. I LOVE that. Because so many people don\’t realize how the holidays affects people, young and old. Young children may get overwhelmed, others may get sad because the holiday is attached to a memory of someone they\’ve lost or a hard time that they went through (the Grinch, anyone!). And I haven\’t even touched on seasonal depression!
Regardless, there\’s a lot going on, so a lot of emotions are expected. Like I said last night, I just hope you know that you are loved and you are strong enough to get through this day, whether it\’s jolly, stressful, or sad. And tomorrow\’s a new day!
Much Love and Merry Christmas,
Jac
