Days in Disney: afterthoughts and recommendations

Okay, so the title for this was supposed to be \”how I would\’ve done things differently + dressing for Disney\” but that was really long and didn\’t fit well in the title slot. So I figure I\’ll talk about how I wish we would\’ve done things differently, first.

The thing about Disney is that most people want to do everything, myself included. There\’s so much to see, eat, and do, but there\’s not always enough time (but isn\’t this just life in general?). Just some little things at first: I wish I had brought something to prevent chafing the very first day. Similarly, I wish I had worn more comfortable shoes on the first day. I feel like because I ended the first day incredibly chafed and had sore feet, there was a higher chance for them to hurt more as it went on. Other than more personal things, I wish we had realized how fast passes work. Maddie figured it out for us in Magic Kingdom and we took advantage of this sooner! I mean that\’s not really much that I feel we could change! I think a lot of it has to do with your own schedule and what you can handle, but make sure you allow yourself plenty of breaks, lots of water, and don\’t forget to reapply sunscreen! Another thing to be aware of is a possible time change. We got lucky and were only one hour ahead of our usual time zone, but with that our sleep schedule was all messed up, which made us more tire

As far as packing for Disney, I didn\’t want to overpack. (Whatttt????) I guess I just didn\’t want to spend too much time trying to decide what to wear, so I only brought the outfits I knew I was going to wear for the park days. Of course, I also brought a couple extra t-shirts and some leggings, too. And as far as shoes went, I brought a pair for each day, but really only ended up wearing my Adidas sneakers because they were the most comfortable! As much of a pain as it was wearing a dress, I will say wearing my spanx underneath was such a blessing! At the end of the day though, it\’s important to dress comfortable.

With my Hollywood Studios outfit, I knew I wanted to match the chic style, and I couldn\’t resist a little inspiration from Minnie and her polka-dots! Now, before you think of anything I\’m still trying to master the hairstyle I attempted. I was inspired by a girl that was working in Epcot and decided to give it a-go, but I think I should have done it farther back. Regardless, I was committed to wearing it all day, even when it looked a lil\’ wonky.

One more thing that I wish I had done differently, was writing these posts sooner. I\’ve been back from Disney for a couple of weeks, so I think it\’s time for me to move on to other topics. But that\’s a wrap on my little Disney series! I hope you enjoyed them!

Much Love,

Jacquelyn
