Joyous Chaos

I haven\’t written on here in a while. Part of this being my lack of motivation, a more major point being that since school has started up, I\’ve been here there and everywhere – literally.
Starting with the first week of school, Louisiana began to flood and school was cancelled for the second week of school, thus pushing everything behind and keeping me in this never-ending state of catching up in life, in school, in everything. While parts of the state and families are still in recovery, our house house was okay and my life was luckily able to get back on track fairly smooth with the only hitch being that I wasn\’t entirely read to go back to school, mais c\’est la vie.
Following the end of that crazy week, I went out of town for a couple days for a wedding in Atlanta. The wedding, although it was ridiculously hot, was gorgeous and I was able to see family that I hadn\’t seen in what felt like forever. During this time, I had the opportunity to go the World of Coca-Cola, which was a fun interactive museum. It\’s really great for everyone even if you are not a huge soda drinker or if you don\’t like the drink Coca-Cola. I, a non-Coca-Cola drinker myself, had so much fun and would definitely go back!
Now that I\’ve been back home for a couple weeks, I feel as though I am still kind of struggling getting back into school and am struggling to get my life back together I guess. Part of it could be that my head is so far up in the clouds that it might not know how to come down. It\’s hard because all I can think about is adventure. Adventure in the world and things other than the test I am supposed to be studying for. Adventure and a life that I hope will be in my future despite that I have so many things to worry about in the present.
Speaking of the present, I am thinking about starting a new Twitter. This thought all came to my head yesterday when in my attempt to clean my room, I found a box full of fortunes from fortune cookies that I had saved when I was younger. In all truth, I saved all of them with the thought that the words on the small strip of paper would help me with my life in the future. Now a normal person would have a) thrown away the fortune upon taking it out of the cookie or b) thrown away the box without a second thought; however, because I am not normal, I have thought I could share these words that I saved with the world by starting the new Twitter account. Of course after posting each fortune I would then throw it away because who really needs a box of old fortunes. I just thought it would be something cute and creative! If I do go through with my idea, I will probably write a separate more in depth post about it with a link, of course!
In regards to the outcome of this blog, I hope to start writing more often and keeping up more with it. I don\’t typically post about my daily life anywhere, as it follows the same pattern of school, homework, sleep, repeat. I do post more on Instagram than on here though. (Again, I am hoping this changes!) If anyone has anything they would like me to address in order to further get to know me, please let me know! I am always looking for new ideas!
With Love,
Jacquelyn
P.S. Have you listen to the Illuminate, Shawn Mendes\’ new album, because I am currently obsessing about it! While I love all of the songs, my favorites are \”Like This,\” \”Hold On,\” \”Bad Reputation,\” and \”Roses.\” I suggest you check it out if you have not yet already!
