Just a Little Change

A while back on my Instagram, I posted that I\’ve kinda had the back-to-school blues, which is totally normal. In addition, I\’ve been so worried and indecisive about what I\’m going to wear. Honestly, I\’ve just been more stressed than usual. It\’s been weird. That\’s all I can really say with certainty.
Despite me wearing almost the exact same outfit (same colors) two days in a row, I did something different on that Wednesday. Instead of the white shirt, denim pants, and black boots combo I had been wearing, I wore a green sweater, my favorite overalls, and my converse. I then got really excited when I realized all but my shoes were thrifted (I love when things like that happen!). I then went to D.C. for the March with the hope that I\’d find my inspiration for life overall and start this past week refreshed.
Well, it didn\’t exactly go like that. I wore black and gray (and other neutrals) almost all week. I was stressed, though incredibly on top of things, and I cried about a lot of little things. In addition, I feel like I may have caught a cold of some sort. (Obviously, I\’m thriving.) With all of this in mind, I\’m setting goals for myself. Firstly, I want to be sure to eat really well this week. Pizza Rolls and Lucky Charms have been my favorite this past week, and especially if I\’m coming down with something, I really need to be eating better. Even if I\’m not getting sick, I should really be eating better – lol.
My second goal regards colors. When I was in the 3rd grade and we first started taking standardized tests they encouraged us to bright happy colors to help keep us in a positive mood and to keep us awake. In translation, with the moods that I\’ve been in, it may help me to wear something with a little color. Like this teal sweater or something.
My third (and final) goal for this week is to really be on top of my alarms. This may sound kind of strange, but I\’ve been so bad about getting up with my alarms. I get up at the last possible moment and scramble out the door. This weekend particularly, I was so bad about getting up and slept in almost everyday. Given that\’s the weekend, it\’s not that big of a deal, but it still frustrates me that I\’ve messed up my sleep schedule.
Before I leave you to enjoy the rest of the day, I have a couple of questions. Do you set goals for each week? And what are your thoughts on setting weekly goals? Am I crazy for setting weekly goals in addition to my New Year\’s goals? How do you like to spend your Sunday?
Much Love, Jac
