May 2019 Resolution Update

Y\’all. We are almost halfway through the year. One more month! This month was kind of crazy and I was really off my game. Between getting sick, moving back home, starting to work a little bit. But I\’m working on getting back into a routine. To make things a little more organized for my monthly updates, I\’m updating the layout of these posts.
Goal Meals I\’m so excited to say that I\’ve finally made progress on my goal meals board! This month I made Chicken Crescent Roll Bundles and the Meatball Parmesan Casserole. Both were really good, but the crescent roll bundles are kind of my new favorite. In addition, to making these off my goal meals I also made a Raspberry Chocolate Chip Banana Bread. It was SO good. The only things that I truly had an issue with was that I didn\’t mash up my bananas enough but that was my mistake. It made a great, quick breakfast in the morning.
Money & Shopping Since I started working a little bit, I\’m finally starting to make progress towards the numbers that I had set for savings and such. In addition to this, I\’ve definitely been trying to cut back on my purchasing overall including thrift shopping. There have been some new purchases as well as some second hand purchases. My most recent new purchase, which I\’m super excited about, is a Cora Microfiber Laundry Ball.
Regarding the Earth So I\’m super excited about the laundry ball, which is supposed to capture microfibers from our clothes. In addition, I recently got a rotating composter! It\’s my pride and joy at the moment and it\’s been eye-opening to learn what all can be composted and to think about the scraps that I\’m composting and how in the past some these scraps I just threw away out of habit. In addition, I recently shipped out a box of old toothbrushes to Terracycle for one of their recycling programs. While I still get a little overwhelmed by everything and still really worry about the 10/12-year deadline, I feel confident in what I\’m doing and that\’s all I can truly worry about right now.
Reading My reading had to be put on hold for a moment again, but I recently started reading Picture Perfect by Jodi Picoult, which is a book that I\’ve wanted to read for a long time. In addition, I also checked out The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson, which I\’ll read after.
The Blog I really just need to get back on my game. I feel like I\’ve recently fallen off my game with Instagram coherency and instagram posting and blog posting. Maybe I\’m just being hard on myself, but hey at least I\’m trying? At least I have a plan? I don\’t know.
I hope you are all ready to take on this month! As far as these photos, I\’m kind of in love with them. They\’re kind of weird, but hey it\’s me!
Much Love,
Jacquelyn
