Some Thoughts Before Season Two

Hello, hello! I\’m back in my dorm tonight (and for the next few nights) and I just thought I\’d share some last minute thoughts and goals for Season Two of my college career. I think calling it a season instead of semester is a little more interesting. Ironically enough, today I even made an analogy of me watching TV, so obviously the relationship run deep 😉 (Jk, I do a lot more than just watch tv, it\’s often on for background noise though.) I know I talked about my New Year\’s goals the other day… errrr… more than a week ago, but my semester goals are a little different since I won\’t be living there the whole year.

Firstly, I\’d like to create more of a weekly schedule with cleaning and getting things done, such as washing dishes and doing laundry: my least favorite things in the world. I have a pretty manageable schedule this season. I tend to let things pile up during the week and then force myself to try getting it all done during the weekend. Or I just wait until the next weekend. In relation, I would like to get more organized. I usually put some organization in place, but generally, everything falls apart… eventually. I got a new hanger/hook thing to help me hang all my clothes. Tomorrow after my classes, I plan to organize everything that I\’ve unpacked.

I want to go to more. Kent (and many other colleges) have so many open-to-all lectures, speakers, or other events, and every semester I say I want to go to all of them. All of them isn\’t exactly an option, but I\’d like to go to more of them. I\’m not here just to go to classes – there are so many other things I can take away from Kent, so why not take advantage of what\’s provided!

While I\’m here, I thought I\’d also share a little update on my New Year\’s goals! As far as eating/cooking various meals, I haven\’t actually made anything from my Pinterest board, but we did make homemade ravioli and I created my own recipe, that I hope to perfect the next time I\’m home! While I\’ve been working hard doing various things to make money, such as using Ibotta or cleaning out my closet/determining which clothes I can sell, I have caved a little bit… I bought a couple of cookie cutters and an ornament from Micheal\’s. In addition, I\’ve been doing a little online browsing. I shirt that I adore that also had a hole in it, right smack dab in the middle now has two holes. Of course I\’m going to try and mend it, my hopes are low because of the material and location of said holes. In that event, I\’m hoping I\’ll find a similar one in a thrift shop? I\’ve never found a similar one before thought, so I\’m kind of worried. If not, I plan on waiting 6 months, which is when my new clothes ban ends, and we\’ll go from there. Ugh! I\’m just so tempted though!

Excuse me for that mini story, but back to the goals. I\’ve finally decided on an editing plan that I really enjoy and I, for the most part, have kept my 3:1 ratio. I\’m a little behind right at this moment, but I\’ve planned everything out to get myself back on track! Finally, I can proudly say that I have only used one straw this year, and it was a paper one, which is much better than plastic in my opinion. I feel like I\’m off to such a great start, but I\’m so excited for the rest of this year! This season, I\’m worried may be a little rough… but I guess we\’ll find out!

This dress used to be really long, but I cut it shorter, and I\’m thinking about cutting it even shorter? I don\’t know… thoughts? I kind of wish I had dressed up this look a little more, but it\’s so casual (mostly the dress) and I was just running errands before we left. I will say I\’m currently thinking of another place where I can easily take pictures for the next time I\’m home, so sorry if my pictures may tend to have the same backgrounds…

I hope for all of you, you\’re having a great start to your New Year. (It\’s never too late to jump back on to your resolution!) And I hope you all have a great week!

Much Love,

Jac
