The End of Spring Break and March Feels

When I was younger, I loved coming back from long vacations. Well, kind of. I guess I should say rather that my favorite part of coming home, was how I felt when I got back. We\’d open the door and the house would be cool because the doors and windows had been shut keeping in the air conditioning. The blinds would be drawn making it even cooler in the house and creating a nice glow in the rooms. My mom usually had someone come clean the house while we were gone so everything seemed nice and new. It was my favorite. I had the same feeling last night when I opened the door to my dorm. It was nice and everything was quiet.

That\’s also how the majority of March was for me, with the exception of this past week. Spring break was nice. I was here there and everywhere though. How is it a break if I come back exhausted? It was fun, filled with lots of food, friends and fun. I updated a lot of things to my Poshmark account and had some friends and my self timer take pictures of me for the blog. I came up with some more article ideas. I feel accomplished. But regardless, I have a lot of ideas for April that I\’m so excited to share, but before we move on to April, here\’s the stats for March:

This month I was kind of a hot mess. I guess it\’s been more the end of the month than anything. I used 4 plastic straws, forgot my shopping bags multiple times, and I feel like I\’ve been eating much more and have just been creating so much waste. On a more positive note, I finished The Night Circus and am almost finished with Watch Me Disappear. I recently applied for a job, I\’m currently do a remote internship, and I\’m just living my best life. I\’ve also been thrifting a lot, which I should maybe cut back on just a little bit… maybe.

Lately, so much of the talk surrounding me is focused on the future. The nice lady who worked at Goodwill today said that this was her year of doing things. She was preparing for a new job, starting school, and saving up to buy a car. Honestly, that\’s the attitude I\’m striving for this year, and while I still have 3/4ths of the year to go, I feel that if I keep going at this pace, I\’m set for a steady future.

So here\’s to April, may her showers bring life to us all!

Much Love,

Jacquelyn
