Thoughts on my Third Semester

Good morning friends! After a long finals week (and a long drive), I am finally home for winter break! This semester was different from last year for a couple reasons: I am now living in an on campus apartment instead of your traditional dorm room, and most of the classes I took were online courses. The courses I took were Branding and Fashion Fabrics, which were both in-person classes, and Seven Ideas that Shook the Universe, Social Media Strategies, Principles of Marketing, and Retail Industry.
Unlike last year my classes weren\’t nearly as time-consuming. One thing that I really enjoyed about taking online classes was that I was able to set my own schedule. I know a lot of people worry about taking online classes, whether it be because they are worried they might forget about them or another reason, but I loved them. I loved that they gave me a freedom to really be flexible with my schedule and have taught me a lot about time management.
On a different note, these classes were very similar, which made my job as a student much easier, but left me feeling bored frequently. Branding, Marketing, Retail Industry, and occasionally Social Media Strategies tended to cover the same topics, which left me feeling bored frequently. But that did give me a lot of opportunities to cook and try new things! My next semester should be very similar to this semester, so I\’m kind of looking forward to it…
Much Love,
Jac
