Ways I stayed Holly Jolly this Christmas Season

The holiday season has always been difficult for me for reasons I don\’t really want to get into right now. Because of this, I try to go above and beyond to be merry and bright. On this Christmas Eve, I thought I\’d share what I did this year…
I decorated the Christmas tree with my family. We do this as a family every year. Because of location of my other family members and the inconsistence of where we were every year, decorating the tree was the one tradition we\’ve always had.

I organized the nutcrackers on the piano. This year I was even lucky enough to thrift a vintage nutcracker. Excuse me while I forever obsess over him and try to find another one for our out of control collection.
I listened to my Christmas playlist. I also added 17 songs to the playlist this year! (Most of them being Lauren Daigle\’s renditions of the classics!)
I decorated my dorm room. I wish I could\’ve gone a little more out of the box for this, but it\’s just a dorm room, and we\’re not even there for Christmas. A little goes a long way though.
I decorated a tree at my Grandma\’s house. This was done with my cousin during the wedding weekend. Though not as personalized as our tree at home, it was still fun to decorate another one.

I attended Lauren Daigle\’s Behold concert. Maddie invited me to join her and I was so glad I said yes! Lauren Daigle is a phenomenal musician and listening to Christmas music is a sure way to embrace the season.

I made Christmas cookies on multiple occasions. I made some with Maddie one morning and then I made some sugar cookies that I iced and decorated in an effort to get rid of the broken candy canes we had. We then gave them to our neighbors.
So we only have one more sleep left until Christmas morning… I hop everyone has a glorious day filled with love and laughter. And if you don\’t, I hope you find the peace in your heart to know that you are loved, you are important, and you matter. Now if you\’ll excuse me, I\’m going to bed. I hope you can\’t tell in the pictures, but I\’m exhausted.
\’Twas the night before Christmas…
